Leeds has seen a huge influx of students and young adults in recent years as the city keeps getting bigger and better. The new arrival of a more diverse, individual society has opened up doorways for many local people.

Leeds has become a popular hub for upcoming independent shops, the city is already home to a range of small local businesses ranging from street food vans to pop-up shops. Fabrication Crafts is one of the many bright, quirky businesses to take over the high street.
Julie Frazer, from JAF jewellery, is one of the several local artists that can be seen at Fabrication Crafts. Julie has lived in Leeds all of her life and loves the “friendly, kind people who pass through the doors everyday.” Leeds has been a fantastic spot for her small business with the city growing larger every year. The demand for high quality, local supplies is on the rise as more people open up to shopping local.
Julie is particularly interested in the thriving music scene and says it has “continuously grown” over her time in Leeds. The growth of the city has seen the arrival of “loads of new bars” which has made the “music scene bigger.” Julie warns all music lovers of “lots of gigs” and says there’s “more than four coming up very soon.”
