The boxer took on Chris Shaw at YOKKAO and after a shaky few rounds, he managed to pull it back to take the win by a unanimous decision.

He said ‘It was an incredible feeling, I could hear all my supporters chanting in the crowd, my friends and family were there and even after a difficult few rounds I managed to pull it back and I’m still the UK number one’

‘I love the sport, it keeps me grounded and disciplined. I love the feeling of being in that ring and knowing that all my hard work has paid off’

Joe had been training everyday since the new year and also spent a number of weeks in the sports origin, Thailand, training with the best of the best.

His training consisted of running twice a day, training twice a day and lowering his weight by consulting with a nutritionist. From this consistent and dedicated training he lost 12 kilograms in eight weeks burning a minimum of 2000 calories a day.

In four weeks time the Thai Boxer will fight again in Brussels for the Middleweight World Title, taking on the current world champion Youssef Boughanem from Belgium.

‘Im really looking forward to my fight in Brussels, its going to be very difficult, Youssef is a beast but, its a great opportunity and I’m training as hard as ever so that I have the chance to be world champion’
