Jerry and Lilian Morgan have travelled from Chapel Allerton to the Leeds City Centre to visit their granddaughter, Gabby, who haven’t seen each other for 3 months.

Gabby has been living her best student life since September last year. Majority of her days include studying by the day and partying by the night.
Her granddad, Jerry, said, ‘She wants to experience student life and I’m glad she has made that decision. It is a time in your life you will never get back.’
Jerry and wife Lilian have been together since they were 19 years old, giving them 59 years by each others side.
My wife moved over from Cork in Ireland when she was 19 and that is how we met. My dad was the manager of a Bar where I used to work for him, Lilian came in for a drink with her friends and it went from there.’
They met in the same place their granddaughter studies, when they were her age.
Jerry said, ‘Leeds has changed a lot since I’ve lived here. New people from all over the world to come to see it. It almost feels like a tourist attraction because people are eager to see it.’
Leeds has attracted people from all over the world to come and work, study and live in the area.
Jerry has seen Leeds evolve from when he was born in 1940 and said it was so different back then to what it is now.
He prefers it now because of the amount of people making it a busy city, the big buildings which have become bigger in his time and the fast-paced environment.
