Festive fun at the Leeds Santa Dash

Hundreds of people took to the streets of Leeds this weekend as part of the annual ‘Santa Dash’ fun run.

900 people dressed in Santa outfits dashed round the Leeds City Centre route, which consisted of five one-kilometre laps of the city’s shopping area.

The fundraising event is held by St Gemma’s Hospice, a charity which provides care for patients with cancer or other life-limiting illnesses.

A local brass band played Christmas songs to keep up the festive cheer amongst runners.
