News bulletins on radio stations are a summary of the latest news.
They start with the most important story that hour, and all stories should be up to date with the latest information.
They range from 60 seconds to seven minutes, depending on the station and time of day.
Bulletins normally include a range of different treatments, including copy, clips and voice pieces. Some shorter bulletins may only contain short pieces of copy – called headlines.
The top story will normally have a piece of audio attached to it, unless it’s breaking news.
